Wait for Me Reaches 400,000 Copies in Three Weeks

Bekle Beni (Wait for Me), Livaneli’s fifteenth novel, published on 23 September 2025, has become one of the fastest-selling books of his career. The first printing of 150,000 copies sold out within two weeks of publication.

A second printing of 100,000 copies followed in the second week, and a third printing of 150,000 copies in the fourth week — bringing the total print run to 400,000 copies in roughly three weeks.

Set in Ankara, Istanbul and Stockholm during the 1970s and ’80s, the novel tells a story of love and resistance, marking the 47th year of Livaneli’s writing career.
