The Viper's Eye (Engereğin Gözü) Among Der Spiegel's “100 Best Novels of the Century”

The German magazine Der Spiegel has selected the 100 best novels published between 1925 and 2025. Livaneli's 1996 novel Engereğin Gözü (The Viper's Eye) made the list among works chosen from 39 countries and was featured on the magazine's cover. The selection jury included the critic Michael Maar, Prof. Eva Horn, the critic Miryam Schellbach and the philosopher Peter Sloterdijk.
