Harem

A graphic novel set in the seventeenth-century Ottoman palace, adapted from Livaneli’s novel The Eunuch of Constantinople and drawn by illustrator Çağrı Coşkun.

Süleyman Ağa is taken from his homeland, castrated and placed in the imperial harem. A prince descends into madness while awaiting death; fratricide, power struggles, palace intrigue, love and violence intertwine in this allegory of power.
